At the end of the day, I want to help people, like you -- wrestle with the painful and messy areas of life that keep you feeling "ashamed," "alone," "stuck," and "worthless."

You struggle with the daily challenges of living with anxiety and stress or the grief and loss that weighs heavily in your chest, and you begin to think it may be time to ask for help. Whether you need assistance with marital/relationship issues, desire more sexual intimacy or struggle with past trauma/abuse -- I want you to have a "safe space" to wrestle with the questions you often wonder about difficult issues. This pain you experience may even cause you to have questions about God.

You've tried reading books and talking with friends, but the questions and pain haven't gone away. You need someone with experience and compassion to help you untangle your thoughts and feelings.

As a Christian therapist, my approach to counseling is Christ-centered and Biblically based. When Christ interacted with others, he was always accepting of the person, yet cared enough to confront their unhealthy attitudes, behaviors, and choices. He explored the matters of their heart and offered them an alternative (healthier) way of living.

Additionally, having grown up as a pastor's kid, I understand the unique struggles faced by families in ministry, striving to live out your faith in an authentic way when hurtful things happen.

I offer professional Christian counseling and sex therapy as a licensed Professional Counselor in Texas (#68306). My post-graduate training is in Christian sex therapy from the Institute for Sexual Wholeness in Atlanta, Georgia. When I’m not in the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my family and dogs, reading, listening to music, and volunteering.
